Tulkus 1880 to 2018 is a non-profit project.

The artist Paola Pivi considers the non-profit character of the project a fundamental part of the artwork exhibited in several museums of contemporary art around the world.

In 2018, or upon completion, the project and related research will be donated to a single institution to be chosen with the stipulation that the project must belong to and be available to the Tibetan people. Advice will also be requested of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Funding from various sources (Paola Pivi, Karma Lama, Davide Quadrio, Artissima, Torino; Galleria Massimo De Carlo, Milano-London; Galerie Perrotin, Hong Kong-Paris-New York; Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art and AMMODO, Rotterdam; Photographic laboratory Grieger, Düsseldorf, FarEastFarWest Collection and other generous anonymous donors). The project only has expenses and creates no income at all.

A detailed budget of the project will be published here soon for consultation and is viewable on request.
